“Alayne is a very pleasant individual who is easy to work with.  I get fantastic feedback from her students and their parents, who say she is an enthusiastic, kind, and engaging teacher. She communicates well, is organized and punctual. Alayne is a model teacher and employee.”
— Shawn Gallagher, Studio Manager at First Choice Music Studio

"Alayne is a joy to learn from! During lessons she is always engaged and focused on her student's needs. She puts forward excellent effort towards helping her students accomplish their goals with the instrument, and it is evident that she enjoys doing so.  Alayne has never ceased being a student herself and relates easily to the struggles of learning a difficult instrument such as the violin, allowing her to be very approachable when you encounter a problem with a piece of music or playing technique. I highly recommend her as an instructor for students of all ages.”
— Eric Pearson, Student at First Choice Music Studio

"I have been playing violin for 8 years now, since I was 60.  This is a very big deal for me since I never learned how to play an instrument in school and did not have a clue how to read music.  I was struggling, and had 2 other teachers up until now, but I really didn't have anyone with the enthusiasm that Alayne has for teaching.  She is amazing!  Not only has she encouraged me to do my best; her excitement about my learning has motivated me to practice more each day because I think I can do it!  She watches me very closely to see where I can change an approach to my playing, and her recommendations are always perfect to help me grow musically. She has a great system of marking the music with different colors, the colors represent an area that she wants me to work on such as "intonation" or "rhythm." This has helped to remind me of what I need to work on.  She encourages me to fix something on the fly without stopping to start a piece again, but yet she comes back and tells me how I can approach that section more efficiently the next time.  I have enjoyed having her as my teacher and I do recommend her to anyone interested in learning how to play violin. P. S.  Did I tell you that her playing is difficult, but magnificent, she seems to hold herself to high standards as well."
